    Default XP/Hackintosh dual bootage!

    Hey all,

    Sorry for newb question...I did search but didn't find anything! Sorry if this has been discussed. I have windows xp on one HD and I have an extra HD with nothing on it. Can I dual boot my hackintoshed osx by installing it on the other drive? If not please let me know how I can do this! I want to be able to switch in between them when I need one or the other!

    Thanks,

    ::rayman::

    Question

    Why install it on a separate hard drive?
    The way i have my setup is very simple (or to me at least)

    Internal HD (100gb) has ALL my os's look at my signature i have four on there
    leaving roughly 60gb free space (unsure exactly due to hidden partitions),

    My external HD (1tb) has all my files in one folder and app's for the various os stored in a file directory kinda like XP folder for xp apps and VISTA folder for vista and so on,

    So why dont you just partition you hard drive using any software that you like and install on that partition and use the external hd for everything else?

    Click here and follow the guide, you don't have to do it on the other hard drive you just have to figure out way to be able to switch between the two. I reccomend doing it on the other hard drive. Dont ask me how though a I am not sure.

    I reccomend doing it on the other hard drive.
    Could you please explain why you would recommend this?
    I personally wouldn't for various reasons but please explain why has two os's on two separate hard drives

    I would also like to know how to do this. I don't want to erase my current drive, but the other drive is blank. So installing OSX on it would be better.
