I'm not really sure if this is the right thread i should be posting. I would like to try and install hackintosh on my current pc.
Here's the system I have:
Intel P4 H.T 2.8
ECS motherboard socket 478 (i'll try to remember the chipset)
512MB Memory (generic)
80GB Seagate SATA
Buit in sound card
Built in LAN
DVD Writer
Inno3D FX5200 video card
Do you guys think it would work?

Well you can make your own new thread if you want.
More people will look at it. And I never got a real answer either. But I decided to try it on my laptop and I screwed it up making a partition so I had to restore it, and it turns out I lost the recovery discs so I had to use discs from a different laptop, ugh. So I decided not to try with my desktop and not to take the risk.

Hi DJ McG,
Why dont you try a distro like Leo4All or Kalyway. That might work out.
Also, if you know how to get the drivers, then you can install the Retail copy using Boot-132 and load all the kexts using a disk.

I actually am not using this PC because I didnt want to risk losing my files. But I used a toshiba Satellite A75-S231 and it didnt work. I have Kalyway 10.5.1 and iAtkos 10.5.1 and Macdotnub 10.4.10, I may try using this PC once I backup all my files.
