[Wifi Problems] Broadcom 5752
Hi
I have been working on getting my bcm5752 ethernet card working
and finally i have met with a small measure of success, but only for a little bit
I am able to recognze the card and connect to the internet for a little bit
but after a minute or two the card dies
The mac address is still showing as all 00:00:00 etc
i was wondering if someone could tell me how to set my mac address and dhcp during the boot process to see if this will help
Thank you in advance
Al

I seem to think this card hasn't been solved yet...
I searched for a solution to this card a few months ago, and never came across a working answer. I know there were some beginning ideas of what to do, but nothing definitive. I wish i had more of an answer, but I haven't mastered the art of programming... sorry.... but i'll search again and if I come across anything...

im not sure if this will work but u can try it, might get u some luck...
i did it on my wireless card and it worked.
sudo nano /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist
change en0 to en1
and change integer for the same block of code from 0 to 1
hit Command(Ctrl)+X
and hit enter
restart and go into your network prefs and it should work
let me know if this works
Before you ask any question, try searching it first.
Search Button is ur best friend...so is google.
I AM IN NO WAY TELLING YOU TO COMMIT PIRACY. IF YOU LIKE OS X OR ANY PART OF IT. BUY A MAC.
TESTING 4 PCs and 1 Macbook

. Only the macbook works perfectly

xtreme571,
The 5752 is the NIC, not the wireless card. I had to do what you said to get wireless working for example. From what I remember, the 5750 has been sucessful and there was some positive results for the 5751. The 5752 though...

I got the same story as everyone else with my D620 Centrino/Broadcom 5752:
network works fine for a few seconds then locks up with shutdown dialog. . .
ifconfig reveals my MAC but Network Prefs only got 00's. . .
I even tried adding my MAC address to the Ethernet5751 file directly for an instant lock up. . .
my solution:
boot up with a USB stick and surf from within Linux. . .
