Default VMware 10.4.8 Problem [PIC inside]

ok guys...i've tried many ways to get my nForce4 SATA working. I got the kexts but i've had failure every way i tried.

I am now trying to use the vmware to install and then install nforce kexts

When i boot the vmware image with 10.4.8...it does nothing at all after the following message

    Code:
    Darwin/x86 boot v5.0.132
    919MB memory
    VESA v2.0 16MB (V M ware, Inc. VBE support 2.0)

    Loading Darwin/x86
    Loading kernel mach_kernel
    Loading HFS+ file: [mach_kernel] from 4230450.
    Loading HFS+ file: [mach_kernel] from 4230450.
    LoadingDrivers: Loading from [/System/Library/Extensions.mkext]
    Loading HFS+ file: [/System/Library/Extensions.mkext] from 4230450.
    Loading HFS+ file: [/System/Library/Extensions.mkext] from 4230450.
    Starting Darwin/x86
When i boot using 10.4.5 image, it loads up fine and i am able to install

is there any specific reason this is happening?

I'm using Jas 10.4.8 Intel SSE3 iso (I've tried original release and also the re-release)

Actual System Config: ASUS P5ND2-Sli Intel Edition, Pentium D 830 @ 3.0, 2.0GB DDR2 Ram, 320GB SATAII HDD, eVGA nVidia 7800 GT CO

VMware Settings: System Type: FreeBSD 900MB memory (tried both physical and virtual hd) 1 cpu

You should post your solution for others to see!

In my experience, the problem you're experiencing can be caused by a few problems:

    - Trying to mount the ISO directly in VMware. VMware's CD Emulation does something unusual and causes the disc to not be read correctly. (It can also cause the boot from hanging on "waiting for root.") The solution is to mount the ISO in Daemon Tools or a linux equiv and then telling VMware to use that.
    - Having the system type be something other then FreeBSD
    - Giving the VM two CPU's

actually i havent figured it out...and i just gave up on it and found another way to install os x on sata 4

also...i was mounting in daemon tools and i also tried directly in vmware
system type was freeBSD...and i tried all others
tried giving 1 and 2 cpus

im assuming i was using sse3 dvd and i dont think vmware supports sse3...well thats my guess
