Using 10.4.8 by JaS, I can't get a single partition of my IDE hard disk to mount, regardless of file type. I've tried FAT32 and NTFS but I get the same error, "0x00000047..."

I've even tried formatting a partition with the installer's "Disk Utility" but to no avail.

My system specs are as follows:

Asus P5VDC-X
Pentium D 3.40 GHz
2 GB DDR2 RAM
nVidia 7900 GT 256 MB
HDD 1: 160 GB Western Digital (IDE)
HDD 2: 250 GB Seagate (SATA2)
Windows Vista Ultimate (32-bit)
