Tri Rails, SATA, AGP, and DVI...
Ok, so here's the dilly...
Just got me a new powersupply (Corsair 520W modular...really kick a$$ powersupply) to replace my old and squeeking Antec 380TP. See the following specs...
7800GS AGP 256MB - Full QE/CI
Booting from SATA
Biostar NF325-A7 (Nforce3 board)
AMD 3400+ (Venice SSE3)
Now..here's where it gets interesting...
Booting from SATA with old powersupply, Straight DVI works fine from my 7800GS AGP
Booting from SATA with NEW powersupply, DVI No worky...
*Disclaimer - DVI will work if I use a DVI-VGA adapter*, but I don't want to use it! I want DVI like I used to have!
Booting ATA from EITHER powersupply, DVI works!
So I can't figure it out...perhaps the triple rail on the PS?
I'll post some lines from Console after I make an image of the drive for backup purposes.
And I've tried re-installing onto separate partitions...no go. DVI just loops, but I never a screen to stay for more than a half a second.
So anyone using an AGP card with a DVI output with a Dual or Tri Railed powersupply and possibly running AMD?
