Yes, due to continous failure of Installation, I am now installing it on VMware.
Yes, I am doing it on my TOSHIBA laptop (Intel 915 chipset)
Update: I am near to completion
Getting message:
BSD process name corresponding to current thread: init
Mac OS Version:
Not yet set
Kernel version:
Darwin Kernal Version 9.1.0: Sat Nov 11....; Made by ToH: xnu-1228.0.2~1/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_I386
All DVD give the same result. Nothing happens after this msg.
Ok,
Hard to install OSX on Vmware, I recommend to you install on physical HDD.
Btw, this page can help you:
http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/in.../Vmware_how_to
If not work, or install in physical world or nothing to do.
Goodluck,
Just use this here
Works on intel straight away but needs patching for AMD.
No ethernet or USB so installing OS X on a real HDD is the better option.
It's just a pain to get it to install on my computer! (on a real PC)
:D
Good trick.
:D
Goodluck, post back if it work for you.
Ok. Same problem...
1. Booting (with -v ) - Kernal Panic
2. Normal Booting - Restart screen
What do I do now ?
:) Obviously ! I totally agree with you. After trying hundreds of times with different DVDs (on physical drive), I thought of VMware.
And after installing it on VMware, my next step is to map the virtual volume and clone the volume to the HD partition and boot to it with GRUB.
My ultimate aim is to get it on the physical partition and not VMware, I just have to go through it because on my laptop, it just says:
com.apple.Boot.plist Not Found !
If you can help me in installing directly to phusical drive, I would be very happy !
Hi jashsayani,
Try delete and format all your entire partition on FAT32. (use Windows XP CD for that).
After it boot OSX DVD and reformat in HFS+ (don't exclude partition, only simple format).
Maybe work...
If not work, i thinkin in way to put in com.apple.boot.plist directly in HDD.
Post results and ideas;
:)
