How can I alter DVD to boot Jmicron PATA?

I´m new to this forum but not new to Hackintosh.

I´ve recently migrated from a fully working AMD64 Hackintosh to a C2D Asus P5B Deluxe WiFi/Ap dsktop and I´m having trouble installing OSX.

This is due to the DVD not recognizing my IDE optical drive on Jmicron PATA. I couldn´t find in my country any IDE adaptor and SATA DVD drives are still absurdly expensive here...

There already is a ppf patch that is reported to work when applied to a certain iso, but I came late to the race and the iso is gone, and the other iso I downloaded, although with the same name, doesn´t work when patched (no MD5 described in the patch)...

To make it short, I´d like to know how to alter and what files to alter to make a bootable DVD that will boot the kext I want (Jmicron on P965 intel mb).
Hopefully, by knowing this, I could also alter the DVD to boot on other sistems and add packages to the install...

Anything will do, a few links if this info already exists somewere will do fine...

Yep, that´s the one I´m looking for... the hash is differrent from the one I DL Bfore... Unfortunately, nobody seeds it and it´s not in demonoid anymore...

Is there any way I can DL this elsewere?

read this.... You could do your own dvd.....
you'll need an already working osx installation (through VMware to phisical partition maybe), or from your old system.... Once you have applied THE PATCH you will have the right kext supporting jmicron in your system. now you have to put it into the DVD image.
Basically you unpack the Extensions.mkext file from the iso image (mounted as readwrite) add the drivers (kexts) for you mobo, pack the thing again, put it back to the iso, burn, and you'll be on. Or just replace the hole Extensions.mkext file from the DVD with the one from the already working (and patched) osx installation.
