Getting a "Still Waiting on Root Device" Error Before Install
Before I start, let me say that this is my first time trying to install Leopard.
I'm using Kalyway 10.5.2. Before I even get into the installation process I get the dreaded "Still waiting on Root Device" error. I've googled and searched these forums a bit and I am thinking this is due to the fact that my HDD's are SATA and my DVD Drive is IDE. Is this correct? What are the steps to correct this? So far I've read things about changing BIOS settings (most of these settings I do not see in my BIOS Configuration). I've also seen people say to use a USB DVD drive to install with?
Any tips you guys could offer would be awesome as I don't want to go out and get a USB DVD Drive if I don't need to.
Also feel free to ask for any information and I'll try to provide what I can.
MOBO: ASUS A8N SLI (MOBO)
Processor: AMD Athlon X2 3800+ (Processor)
HDD: Seagate Barracude 80gb 7200rpm (HDD)
Note: I also have another 640gb WD drive and a 300gb USB External drive (both formatted as NTFS)
DVD Drive: Lite-On IDE Drive (DVD Drive)
Thanks in advance for tolerating with my n00bness. :)
