I'm completely new to this concept but I am having trouble. I am quite good with the technical side and have followed all of the installation instructions for uphuck's 1.4 DVD.
I believe I have created the partitions correctly etc.
I have one 250GB SATA hard drive - Disk 0.
I have an OEM built machine so after creating my new Mac OSX partition as described in the guide, I have three partitions.
Partition 1 is the OEM hard drive based recovery partition.
Partition 2 is the largest partition that has Windows Vista installed.
Partition 3 is the Mac OS partition which is 18GB.
When I boot from the DVD, I get the menu. Hit any key to proceed, and then I get a very mac-like screen telling me I need to hit the restart button or press and hold the power button.
I do this and if I leave the DVD I just go back through the same process. Naturally if I take the DVD out then I get "Missing Operating System" (because the guide talks you through setting the Mac OS partition as active, so I then fix this by booting from the Vista CD amd setting my Vista partition as active.
So - what do I do to fix this?
I have this same problem, hunting religously for a solution. If you have any luck please lemme know, I'll let you know if I find an answer myself. May the hunt continue!
