Default OSX86 10.4.10 does not boot:(

    Hi,

After successfully installing OSX86, my computer then restarts but cannot boot OSX86 successfully.

The problem is that when I boot all I get is a black screen with lots of white text going down the screen then..................nothing happens . It just stays on the black screen with the text - "login application started" written at the end of the vast rows of text.

What has happened? I have selected the right kernals that the manual tells me to for SSE2 machines.

    I am running it on a SSE2 P4 machine.

    Please advise

    whose installer did you use?

got an sse2 as well and was successful in installing it using blackchungos installer..

from what you said, you are having problems with loginwindow.app, be sure to install 10.4.5 loginwindow to get this resolved.

    Hi, Thanks for the reply

I am using XXX_OSx86_10.4.10_ Install_Disc_Intel _SSE2/SSE3. It installs perfect but when I go to boot up after it has restarted all I get is a black screen with texts and thats all I get - nothing happens after that.

I have installed 10.4.5 loginwindow but I still have the same problems

    Please advise

I am having some major trouble getting the 10.4.10 update loaded. I have a fully functional 10.4.8 w/ NVInject 009 and I've tried 3 different methods (several attempts w/each updater) of updating to 10.4.10 and all of them are failing.

MacOSXUpd10.4.10Intel.mpkg - Completes the install then crashes upon startup
koolkal 10.4.10 - Completes the install then automatically reboots just after I select 'Mac' from my bootloader

    and most recently:
XxX_OS_x86_10.4.10_Install_Disc: After a clean install, it crashes upon next reboot.
I've tried 4 different install configurations and none of them boot.

    Attempt 1: All Recommended Patches; Optional Patched-Adobe.CS3.Patch; ATA-Jmicron & Via SATA/ATA; Graphics-Nvidia-Natit Dual v02; No audio; Network-PCGeneric Realtek, 10.4.3 IONNetworkingFam (I read on a post somewhere that this was needed for FCS2), & Marvell.Gigabit.Ethernet
    Result: Reboot Loop upon restart

Attempt 2: All Recommended Patches; Optional Patched-Adobe.CS3.Patch; Network-PCGeneric Realtek
Result: Commands scroll vertically very fast then machine reboots

    Attempt 3: All Recommended Patches
    Result: Reboot Loop upon restart

    Attempt 4: 8.9.1 Kernal-Universal & System-No Login; No Recommended Patches; Network-PCGeneric Realtek
Result: Kernal begins to load then freezes and grey box of reboot doom appears.

Someone, somewhere, with similar hardware MUST have 10.4.10 working... I need to know your secrets.

    hi,

i had the same problems on my 2 pc´s (amd A64 and P4 /SSE2) with the JaS versions. then i treid the Uphuck 1.4i r2 (thats 10.4.9) and it ended up with an kernal panic. so i put the install dvd in again and "installed" the remove power management package and i works nice now.. except of sound and graphics acceleration... but it runs!

    Same problem here....

It has to be something with the disc. I just installed JAS 10.4.8 on the drive and it loads just fine. I'm going to try Kalyway and see if that's the issue. However I don't know why XXX's version won't work. (really bummed)

I have had success with JAS disks loading after install. The XXX disc just gives me a blinking underscore and black screen.

Tried boot manager and it shows nothing. Installed just fine.
