OSX in ram?
Hey, does anybody remember the ancient RAM disks? No? Cool. Lol.
Anyways, OSX is fairly stable. So that means that crashes = fairly uncommon.
And new SUPERMACS (yay) can run up to 16 GB of ram last time I checked, plus a hefty price tag.
Why then, can't we run OSX completely in RAM instead of off the hard drive, so it is suuuperfast? And then when we shut down our mac, just have it save the stuff in ram to disk, and have it loaded COMPLETELY back into ram when restarted?
We can't....Or can we?
