OS X on PS3
Is there any possibility of getting Leopard or even Tiger to run on the PS3? If yes I would love it so much, I am willing to fork over some cash to the person who makes leopard on ps3 a possibility.
Thanks.

Well, the PS3 uses Cell processors, which are very similar to the PPC Architecture...
As I said, money goes to the one who can make this possible.

This has been suggested several times in various places but AFAIK there has been no actual attempt to modify Tiger for PS3 consumption. I think you're outta luck on that front without a seriously skilled coder. This isn't quite the same as OSx86 as although the Cell may use PPC instruction sets, it's still a different architecture and the rest of the hardware still needs drivers.

OS X can work on the Cell processor, as seen in this vid.

It's just a matter of getting it to work with the rest of the PS3 hardware.

No, not impossible... just not really worth the effort for something like that yet in my opinion...
<Ramm> The MINIMUM requirements are a Pentium 4 and half a brain <-- going in my signature

also guy was saying one processing unit has 30 stg or 40 stg gflop power (9x40=360glop at total), ati's new 3870 x2 gpu(s) will have teraflops as said in their information... so is gpu better than cpu? yes and no... yes u design a program to run science number crunching i guess, no? desktop processes... but hopefully AMD will be the first company to combine these two powerful units (cpu and gpu) in one place and make the drivers, so that everyone will have combined power of number crunching and desktop/server power on their pcs and servers... so will not need to beg to get this and that to run here and there...
