Okay. I am trying the 10.4.8 by JaS, as my system is a little dated, but from what research I have done, it should work. So, I burned the disk and now I am sitting in the Installer trying to select an install location. Thing is, it does not show any of my drives... Well, I unplugged them all other than one IDE drive that I want to use as a boot device.

Will this version not recognize IDEs? It is formatted NTFS. Is that an issue? I really don't want to use my 500 Gig SATA drive for this as that is my backup drive... But if need be, I will.

I dont know much, but the installer will not see an NTFS partition, you need to go to utilities, and repartion the drive so that the installer can see the partion.

you have a very different setup than me, but did you do anything special for your install settings?

No, nothing... The only thing I did was verify that my graphics card had the N40 GPU... It doesn't, but it is derived from it so I installed the Nvidia drives along with the install. Other than that, it just went as seamlessly and can be.

It so nice to get lucky sometimes as I have such horrible luck with things like this.

Well, this isn't any fun... My Ethernet doesn't work, no sound... Video card is perfect though. Well this is useless to me right now as nothing I need is working.
