Ok when i put disc in pc and restart computer, it says press any button to install mac os x or w/e. press it, it starts and i get an error "AppleHDA.kext unable to locate layout_id properly."
But at first before I did something to my computer It got farther on the black screen and stopped asking for a root device or something. Now thatfirst error comes up as soon as black install comes up for darwin or w/e
Thats basically it, o and im currently running xp pro, i created a partition of 24gb on my 2nd hard drive in FAT32 format
Please there has to be someone who knows an easy solution to this, ive looked and looked again
what OS X disc are you trying to use ?
appleHDA is an audio extension, it should not prevent from booting. You could try to disable onboard audio in your BIOS to at least be able to boot with your disc, then try to fix this later...
xplode90 = "i created a partition of 24gb on my 2nd hard drive in FAT32 format"
are you trying to install it on that?
lol i guess, but i have anothere hard drive too. but umm the disc just stays at the black installation screen or w.e u want to call it , ill take a pic of it. AND in bios theres no option to disable onboard audio? i have a dell i guess you cant disable it

try booting with -v -x switch
why don't you install it on first, master hard disk?
are you shure the os will boot from the second, slave hard disk?
I am having the same problem as you on my Dell E520
don't use partition magic. Use diskpart to create AF partition.. Read OSXorg wiki about diskpart. Worse case scenerio try a vm install
