Login Window Language?

Hi all!

Is there any way to change the language of the login window (and the one saying "Starting Mac OS X")? I already changed language priorities for my account, and after logging in, everything is german, but the login window is not.

I assume there is some kind of "default write" or something, but i cant find anything...

On insanelymac, someone directed me at an Apple KB entry which stated that one should enable root via the netinfo manager, then login as root (graphically) and change language priorities in system preferences like for other users.
That did the trick for the "Starting Mac OS X", but the login window is still english...
