Leopard or tiger wont see my Maxtor Onetouch 160gb external usb hard drive, through vmware.

any suggestions, im trying to do a clean install on physical disk.

this is the same case with 10.4.8 and 10.5.2 but i can see the drive when booted in my osx image contained on a virtual dsk. Using Scsi or Usb connection.

First: You need mount USB drive on Vmware to use it on Virtual Machine.

AS the USBMassStorage device had no dependencies in 10.4.8 hacked kernels this is not working in Tiger.
In Leopard I have not tested this yet but I was informed usb mass storage also not working, but I'm not 100% sure.

It is however working if you run Leopard native !
