Leo4allv3 help needed on Fujitsu Siemens Pi1505
I have been trying to install this for a while now on an external USB HDD and am having no success.
From the Laptop specs it looks as if it should boot from USB HDD but the Bios has only USB FDD, USB DVD, USB FLASH or USB OTHER which I have set all to before the internal HDD and DVD drive.
Installer DVD boots and I can partition and install OS X using any combination of options I want to. The problem is when the laptop reboots, It does not seem to see the USB HDD. I have modified the VISTA bootloader and added both the MBR chain0 and the GUID Boot0 options which I found on this and other forums and copied these files from the installation DVD to the root of the internal HDD but this only results in Chain Errors on booting.
Has anyone had any success in this type of setup, and if so how? as all the threads I have read and followed have resulted in various failures.
Has anyone had success installing to a large USB FLASH drive as this is probably my next option to try?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Laptop specs are
Fujitsu Amilo Pi1505
Processor Intel Centrino CoreDuo 2060
Memory 1536 MB
Internal Hard Disk 100GB SATA, which is why I am trying external drive
Intel GMA 950 graphics
Intel 945GM chipset
Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG integrated Wireless LAN - which I know there is problems with but I also have a netgear USB Wireless adaptor
