Default [Leo4All Support] Leo4All will not finish installing after restart

    Hello.

I am really new to this so please bear with me.

I am trying to install Leo4All v3 on a 5 year old ThinkPad T41 notebook and it seemed to be installed fine but when the installation finished the first part and looked to boot from HD to finish the installation, it hang after displaying:

    MAC Framework succesfully initialized
Using 3932 buffer headers and 3932 clusters IO buffer header

    Brief summary of my setup:
    OSX Version: 10.5.2
    Builder: Leo4All v3
    Desktop/Laptop: Laptop
Installation Methods: Onto a previously 2 NTFS partition HD, I repartitioned and formated the HD using the Disk Utility onto 1 36GB GUID partition, upon which I proceeded the installation.I did'n use any boot options or specific configuration (I don't even know how to...).
    Mainboard Area
    Manufacturer: IBM
    Model: ThinkPad T41 (Model 2373-BP5)
    Chipset: Intel i855PM, Southbridge Intel 8280IDB (ICH4-M)
    BIOS version: 1RETDRWW (3.23, 06/18/2007)
Onboard Audio Chipset: SoundMax Integrated Digital Audio
Manufacturer / Processor Model: Mobile Intel Pentium M 705 (MMX, SSE, SSE2)
Model (chipset): ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 32MB
    Audio Chipset: Analog Devices AD1981B(L) @ Intel 82801DBM ICH4-M - AC'97 Audio Controller [A-1]

Does anyone have an idea where to go from here?
Should I try fixing this or try another Installer (Kalyway, Zephyroth etc...)

    I would appreciate any help.

Also, I am very new to this so, if possible, please walk me through as I don't yet know how or where to enter any specific comands or configuration.

Thank you very much for any help.

    Best regards,
    dg

    Hi,

Try using a ToH RC2 (maybe work)

You can install this, and put in there a some kernel for SSE2 systems (you can find it on IRC - room #10.5 . kernels links are on /topic).

I believe that working good fod you. (For me working fine on P4 Northwood SSE2 on a mainboard Intel 845WN).

    Post back results, goodluck,

    OK!

I went with Kalyway 10.5.1 and it worked!

I haven't checked all functionalities yet, but at least I managed booting into OS X, which was not happening and causing great frustration.

Before that I also tried Kalyway 10.5.2 but didn't work.

    Thanks for the help!

    Best,

You issue is most likely by not being able to run EFI. The new 10.5.2 DVD's use this. I have been working on a version without it that will install and run on my old P4.
