Unhappy [Leo4all] restarts when trying to install

I cannot seem to figure out why it continues to restart. I have a Asus G1 Laptop

The proccessor is the 7200 2.0 intel and the chipset is the 945PM. 2 GIGS of ram and the drive is SATA.

I've tried doing the -v and -x and the combination but nothing seems to help. It restarts before it ever goes the apple screen though.

    Please help!

    Thanks in advance.

Boot using -v and post back detailed errors on screen of a picture that cointained errors.

Default [Leo4all] restarts when trying to install

I have the same exact problem. My notebook is Asus, with a T7100 core duo 2 processor. Intel chipset PM965, SATA for the DVD drive.

I cannot give you an exact detailed error because when the Leo4All V3 wants to boot (using -v) it initializes and then immediately restarts my PC!
I solved this issue by using the command -x cpus=1 (read that in a forum).
Unfortunately this gave me the dreaded "SAM MULTIMEDIA: Read or Write failed" error.

I tried searching for this error and what I found was that the DVD could be burned wrongly. I tried to burn it again on a different DVD (using the lowest burn spreed 4x), but the problem still exists.

I have also tried iAtkos and Kalyway, but both won't even start installing and fail upon trying to boot the first time.

I have no clue whatsoever how to go about this and hope that someone could shed some light on my issue?

Question: Can I boot Leo4All V3 from a 4GB USB key? This would solve the problem of a bad DVD burn?

Hope to hear from you, any help is appreciated!

Try re-burn Leo4All v3 (I believe you burn it on Windows side), burn using a PowerISO and 2x or 4x. Not use DVD RW for OSX86 DVD's.

    F41QU3,

    Thnx!

I will try that, because I did burn it using Nero on my Windows laptop.
I used DVD +R, so I will try it tonight using PowerISO and burning it at 2x speed.

    I will report back!

    F41QU3,

I've tested what you suggested yesterday and burned the Leo4All DVD with PowerISO at 4x speed. That did the trick! It worked like a charm!

I was so happy to have overcome this issue that's been bothering me for a couple of days. I could almost smell Leopard running on my Windows PC......
Then Leopard installation asked me where I would like the installation to go. Then Leopard shows me no destination...its empty!

I have created 12,5 Gb unallocated space for Leopard to go on my harddrive and even plugged in my USB external harddrive? What happend here?

I am gonna search the web for answers but I wanted you guys to know that PowerISO rocks and never to burn a boot-up disc for Leopard with Nero!

I you have any answers regarding my new problem, I would really appreciate it.
    Thanks again!

In setup look for menu Utilities / Disk Utility, there, need reformat your HDD in HFS+ format (Mac OS X Journaled or something like this), after it, close this screen and back to installer, now, installer see your HDD and can finish Leopard installation.

    Goodluck,

    F41QU3,

Thanks again, you've been a great help. I will test the disk-utilities tonight.
