    Default [Leo4All] Dual booting OSX/Vista

Hey guys i have leo4all installed on one drive and installed vista on the other drive primarily for gaming.
Anyways looking through the leo4all website it tells you how to dual boot with windows xp but not with vista. I cant find a boot.ini file to alter like it tells you todo with xp.

Anyway todo this without anymore programs much similar to the way they tell you todo with xp at all?
i can still boot into windows buy going into bios and swapping the hdd boot priority.
I dont think my sister will understand that too well though

Dual boot for Vista requires EasyBCD.

Boot.ini/Chain0 method is only for OSX/WXP.

Searching in forum. have some topics about this question.

    Hi,
The problem for me is that after installing Leo4All i cant boot into either OS's so i cant use EasyBCD as its an application...
    Any solution to this ?
Sorry to post this in somebody else's thread, it's just i didnt want to create another thread...
    Thanks

When you boot on Leo4all, on the darwin bootload do F8 then the following

    -s

fdisk -e /dev/rdiskX (where X = your disk number, for me its 0

flag Y (where Y = your vista partition)

    u (to update)

w (if you are asked to press Y/N, press Y)

    q (to quit)

    reboot

then you can boot to vista and install easyBCD.
On easyBCD just click on Add/Remove Entries
    Select the Mac tab
then under TYPE select from the drop down menu Generic x86 PC

This is assuming you are using MBR as your boot type on your OSx86.

    Good luck
    ciao

    Thanks,
I tried something similar last time and installing Leopard caused my pc to think no OS's were installed and i was forced to use my Recovery CD.
I'll try this on a spare computer, just in case

Default Hmm I did all this

Nice write up, got me further than any other one, but... (yeah always a but somewhere)..

After loading up Vista, then OSX, I did the darwin boot loader fix, now my Vista isn't bootable!!

Leo boots up fine and now I feel this is a ficious circle, one OS wiping out the .ini file in the MBR of the other one. Fix Leo, ruin Vista, Fix Vista ruin Leo....

Granted, the darwin loader sees the Vista fine, but I followed the reboot, choose VIsta on the Darwin Loader, then choose it, then I get a error message about Vista missins a file.

Any clue on where to go from here?

Use two HDD's separatelly, calling OS'es by BIOS bootloader (like F key). This is best bootloader.

Damn... nice call, never thought of that one, I'll see if the board has one. Not all do, but if all else fails if I need say ...the second one I'll change in bios the boot order of the hard drives. I was just trying to do it the way folks here were saying to do it. Kind of ghetto, but sure gets the job done. Either way, this is probably the easiest way...thanks

    Try this:
    - Reboot with the DVD in the drive. Press F8 at Darwin Boot Loader and type -s and press enter.
    - Execute the following commands :

    fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0
flag 1 (this have to be vista/xp)
    quit
    reboot

    - Now before the PC restarts remove the DVD. At this point you should be able to boot into Vista normally.

Note: If you are unable to log into windows, because there is an error which says “winload.exe” correupted.! Relax. Just insert the Windows VISTA boot DVD into the drive and restart. Click on “Repair computer” once you are inside the DVD and it will automatically detect if a problem exists and suggest “Repair and Restart”. Press the same, and remove the DVD once the PC is about to restart. You should now be able to log in to vista without any problem.

Now you have to able to run Vista and follow some dual boot tutorial:

    Try this one:
