Legacy mode
Hi all!
Got such kind of problema:
- Got a hackintosh as shown in bottom;
- Got a successful installation of 10.4.5, so manually updating to 10.4.9;
- Got kernel update, (uname -a: Darwin Home-PC.local 8.9.1 Darwin Kernel Version 8.9.1: Fri May 11 21:08:53 UZT 2007; made by ToH:xnu-792.18.15/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_I386 i386 i386)
- system.kext - from Apple's official update, AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext, AppleSMBIOS.kext и IOATAFamily.kext - all taken from 10.4.5' backup.
When starting, LoginWindow.app crashes: the screen gets black and systems hungs, only hard-reset helping.
Due to experimantal reseraches, it's found that starting with -legacy key, system starts normally, works successfully. Legacy mode means disabling 64-bit instructions.
That kind of problem is this?
Thanks 4 replies, any1 !
