Default [Kaylway] Dell Inspiron 1501 freezes during install

Ok, so once upon a time I got 10.4.8 (I think thats the version) working on this machine. Used it for awhile, but went back to Ubuntu. Now, I am wanting to give 10.5.2 or 10.5.4 a try since it can apparently now boot native on my machine. I have tried many releases (Leo4all, Kalyway, etc) with no luck even getting to the installer GUI. It always freezes at the beginning of the install with all the scrolling text. The drive just stops spinning up and the laptop will sit there forever. I am currently trying Kalyway 10.5.2, which is making it further then then the rest, but still not even getting to the GUI of the installer. What can I do to make this wok? Any help is appreciated.

after 35 mins press enter 3 times each minute for 3 minutes ........wait till the disc stops spinning ..............when it stop press Alt Ctrl and Delete 6 times then move ur touchpad or mouse and the after 1 minute the installer will start to load ...........this kalyway 10.5.2 took me 8 hours straight to install ......and after it installed and rebooted i got an error "HFS+ Partrition Error " so it didnt work for me but im still searching for the past few weeks on how to get it to work i found a new method which involves dual booting with vista so ill try it this week ......good luck i hope my post helps u
