Hello there!

I'm a pretty noob with Hackintosh, so dont bother me for my knowledge...
To my problem: I have installed Kalyway 10.5.2, on my EVGA nforce 680i chipset
Mobo, with nforce Kernel.
After that I downloaded the default 10.5.3 combo update (MacOSXUpdCombo10.5.4.dmg) from Apple, and a Kalyway_10.5.3_ComboUpdate_SSE from Demonoid, which one must I choose ?
Cause I tryed 1st the one from Demonoid (Kalyway_10.5._ComboUpdate_SSE_Intel)
and in the ReadMe is written, that I have to 1st install the comboupdate, and dont do restart, and 2nd install the kernel Update. But my Problem is, when I start the comboupdate.pkg file, and the install is done, my Pc makes auto. a restart, I cant do anything else, only shut off my Pc :/.

How can I do the kaly 10.5.3 combo_update without a forced restart ? Or can I install the default comboupdate (MacOSXUpdCombo10.5.3.dmg) pack from Apple.com ?

Hi,

When do you has a nForce 680i, I don't recommend to you make updates. Have a chance to your installation not work more.

...thx dude, but how can I do an update without a forced restart, cause 1st I try the Kalyway Combo Update from Demon (the two pkg files), and when I 1st install the comboupdate alone, my Pc makes automaticly a restart. After the restart all is fine, under the SysInfo tab are written : "10.5.3".

But how can I make it without the forced restart ?

And why is bad to make updates with a 680i chipset MoBo ?

...okay okay I know now, that my Problem is a Kernel Panic. When the update is finish, my Pc wants a restart, and when I cancel this restart, I became a Kernel Panic on my Desktop, and I must restart my Machine.

But after the restart all went fine, my Sys boots up in oSX and in the sysInfo is written, that I have 10.5.3 installed. Must I do now the kernel-comboUpdate, or isnt it good to make the update WITH a restart ?

You can't restart. Need finish all steps after restart.
