hi,
I work in a school and many students have apple computer. We doesn't have in computer department and this dvd kalyway will be very usefull to make test on our system. So i try to install it on a laptop Acer Aspire 1680 (Pentium M / Broadcom 440x 10/100 / intel wireless / ati radeon 9700), the DVD boot and check are ok, but installation failed with this message

The installer could not install the software because there was no software found to install

Can somebody help me ?

Try use a newer version, like JaS 10.5.4 or Leo4All.

If not works the JaS, try when u are installing hack os skip the chek of disk, i allways skip it, is not necesary

Download and extract the Broadcom 440x kext

you can use Kext helper to Install the kext

or manually copy and paste here:

/System/Library/Extensions

Open Terminal:

Code:

sudo -s

chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/AppleBCM440XEthernet.kext

chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/AppleBCM440XEthernet.kext

rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions.mkext

If you lose trackpad and keyboard u'll need to use a USB Keyboard to fix it. :hack:

Download and Extract this: Keyboard Issue

You have to backup these kext and replace using kext helper.

Keyboard and trackpad should be working now

it's an Intel Pro Wireless 2200BG and it isn't reconized.
My google searchs tell me that I need iwi2200 drivers, but I just found sources or dmg files. I don't know how to use these drivers

buy a new one... under development, sowwy :hack:

But you got lucky your wireless its pretty stable:

Download this: Wireless 220BG

And follow the steps here: http://code.google.com/p/iwidarwin/wiki/Installation

Steps

1) Download the appropriate driver from the main page

2) Close all applications that are running

3) Mount the DMG file you have downloaded

4) Copy the matching version of NetworkSelector to a place that is easy to remember and run it to configure your card

5) Open the package in the newly mounted drive to load the installer program.

6) Click continue to install and select the hard drive where OSX is installed

7) You may have to enter your password before the installation will continue

8) When the installation completes the installer will ask you to reboot.

9) After the reboot open "Network Preferences" and the adapter will be listed.
