Default JaS OS X 10.4.8 Harddisk problem?

    Well, hello there
I installed JaS's Mac OS X 10.4.8 SSE2 + SSE3 and since I installed it on my hard disk, my hard disk keeps burning each time.
    I've already bought 2 hard-disks.
My problem is when I dual boot Windows XP and Mac OS X. When I try to format Windows after installing Mac OS X, my hard-disk stops to function.
I Had a 80gigs hard disk for 3 years and nothing happened to him. since I installed Mac OS X and tried to format him, all of the problems were starting to come.
After my 80gigs hard disk was fucked up, I bought a new one - 160 gigs hard disk. and guess what? when I tried to format AFTER installing Mac OS X, my hard disk was fucked up, again. (remember its a brand new hard disk)
Now I bought a new hard disk and didn't installed Mac OS X. I tried to format and guess what? nothing happened to my hard disk!
so what keeps my hard disk burning up each time I install Mac OS X and format him

    Any answer is welcomed, thanks

p.s: sorry for my poor English, I know I don't speak well

    --edit:
I forgot to mention, In both hard disks I upgraded to 10.4.10 WITHOUT updating the kernel, I used The Creator's guide, here.
Maybe thats what causing this problems?
Also, I used Acronis Disk Director Suite to make a dual boot configuration between both systems. (Since BootMagic didn't worked on my computer)

    Default

so how do you tell that the hard disk is really defective? what's the problem with those disks? I BET you only got its MBR messed up or sth., meaning the partition map needs to be redone.
