Working procedure using the JaS 10.4.6 install with semjaza decrypts.

Put harddisk as master w/slave, and DVD as slave on primary IDE.

Insert JaS DVD, and boot it.

When installer appears - go to utils - disk utility - repartition drive. quit installer.

Proceed with installation as on screen, and chose custom install - avoid everything that has to do with AMD - click the expansion tabs to see that you dont omit anything important. Also get rid of the printer drivers - as any printer comes with a driver and u dont need to waste the space - its about 2 gigs...

Proceed with installation...

After install , reboot can be chosen or will occur after delay....

Machine tries to boot and you get b0 error. (due to partition/harddisk not set active)

Go into bios - set DVD as first bootable device.

Insert Hirens boot cd 7.9 from the pirate bay forexample, or any version if u cant find that one.

locate smart fdisk and set your partition/harddrive active.

Reboot and enjoy fully working OS X with GMA 950 support and no sound.

How to get HD audio working - sound for ya!!!

1. Delete AppleHDA.kext

2. sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions.mkext

3. sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions.kext

4. sudo pico /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAzaliaAudio.kext/Contents/Info.plist

5. Search for (hotkey= ctrl + w):
key>IOHDAudioCodecVendorID</key>

6. change the string to:

<string>0x10ec0882</string>


7. sudo pico /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAzaliaAudio.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleAzaliaController.kext/Contents/Info.plist

8. Search for (hotkey= ctrl + w:
<key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key>

9. change the string to:

<string>0x27d88086</string>

10. sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAzaliaAudio.kext

11. kextcache -k /System/Library/Extensions/

12. reboot and enjoy sound and fully working os x 10.4.6.

Hi, i have the same config as you do. It worked very good until now (fresh install 10.4.6).

Problem is: my Finder is not stable, many times it freezes/stops working. I can work on other apps, but have to reboot to re-use the finder.

How are you experiences?

i've got the same config.

Jas 10.4.6 works great, even finder, but not samba. I came back to Myzar 10.4.6, where samba works (network browsing), no pb with finder either.

The only thing which hurts me is ACPI sleep. I can't find how to make it wake properly after sleeping. Using old kext ? BTW, i flashed to the newest Bios.

Anyone with P5LD2-VM and 10.4.6 managed to get sleep/wake function working ?

Sleep/wake works with me perfectly. Just the regular install 10.4.6. I dont use the ethernet port however (using wireless).

In bios just put ACPI on. (default i guess).

I still have trouble with mic in. Do you guys able to have audio in? I miss to skype ..

its that and it work under my GA-965P-DS4

Does anybody have any advise? I modified AppleAzaliaAudio.kext with Dev. & Vendor ID's. It loads without errors, but there is no audio after reboot.
