[iATKOS][Solved] ICH7 issue > any solution ?
I have had a couple attempts to get OS X installed but cannot manage.
My problem is common to this forum as I do know the search function.
I think my problem is that I have a ICH7 chip and so the installer does not see any hard disks at all.
I have tried iATKOSv.1 and iATKOSv.2 but they both do the same. When I get to the stage of using the disk utilities to format my partition I have prepared for OS X no disks are displayed.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please.

and, DVD controller is SATA or IDE?

once again thanks heaps for taking the time.
my DVD??? I am not sure......
Under system information - it is MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-85JS ATA Device thus I would say it is ATA.
I am trying an external 2.5 HDD now. If that works I am then thinking I can build that disk into my laptop and all that i need to do is change the paths.

If is IDE maybe had problems to install (I had too).
I'm using now a External DVD USB. No other way.

iATKOS v.2 INSTALLED - YEh
So I have installed it onto an external USB drive.
I would however now like to get OS X to mount my internal drives or at least work out why not. Once I have done this I will move the external drive to one of my internal drives and change the boot paths and I should be ok.

Don't take it wrong.
Do you think that your thread with its original 'A little help in the right direction' title would have made people come to read it ?
