    Hi all,

    I admit, I'm a new to the Hackint0sh scene.
My PC just keeps echoing this message: "Still waiting for root device"
It's an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 on an Asus P5K-E/WiFi-AP.
Graphics provided by nVidia GeForce 8800GT.
Both HDD and DVD are connected using SATA.
I did get some messages about JMicron (this is the RAID-driver and is also used for IDE-to-SATA bridging, different chips though IIRC).

    Any advice?

    Thanks,
    Paneidos

EDIT: This message came between some of the lines containing 'Still waiting...': "USBF: 476. 68 AppleUSBEHCI[0x645b000]::Found a transaction past the completion deadline on bus 0xfa, timing out! (Addr: 2, EP: 2)"

EDIT2: I've got 4 (2 times 2 lines) lines saying "[JMicronATA] Unknown Device" before it starts waiting.

Well, if it is telling you that your hard drive is an unknown device, and that it cannot find the root device where OS X is installed on(assuming its the hard drive that is the unknown device), then it sounds like a device driver issue, would you agree? Do a google search for JMicron Leopard drivers. Have you done that? I will only tell you that this issue has been solved already, so you shouldn't have that hard of a time fixing it.

The thing is, it shouldn't need the JMicron driver.
I'm using nor RAID nor IDE.
And is Leo4all v3 just as easy to install on a pc which has WinXP and Gentoo Linux (bootloader=grub) running?

What is "nor RAID nor IDE"?

For grub bootloader, i don't have knowledgements to talk about. IMHO, i choose chain0 bootloader. - wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Chain0
