Angry [iAktos] Grey Cross after Install ?

I get all the way through the Leopard installation, then [leaving the install disc in the tray] I boot to Leopard and I come to the gray apple logo. The wheel spins for about 2 min, then a grey cross shows up on the apple logo. What does this mean? Someone please help!

    thanks - riot

Could you list the specs of your system. It does the same thing to me because I have a pentium 4 processor. I hope that this issues will get fixed for Pentium 4's. It happens to everyone, but if you have the vanilla kernel then it will work.

Not sure if I'm allowed to post link, haven't read rules yet :p

Anyway, just search google for something like vanilla kernel leopard, and you should find it on a webpage somewhere.

No it doesn't only happen for Pentium 4's. It happens to all computers with Leopard, but a P4 is the only one that does not currently have a fix.

You need to search for 'vanilla kernel leopard download'. And check out this: http://www.digitmemo.com/articles/73...in-hackintosh/
Look on the page and there should be a download link there.

If there is a fix for this then I would love if someone told me. As far as I know, it does not work with Pentium 4's, but JaS, and ,on InsanelyMac, says that it's working on their versions just fine.

No, there shouldn't be any BIOS settings that I think you might have a problem with.

Try netkas kernel at http://netkas.org/, and see if you search for 9.2.0. Download the kernel by his instructions and see if that works. If you can't find it or don't know how to install then just post or PM and I'll post and/or PM a link to where you can download it.
