Ok, new issue.
Found a working iso and installed the Jas.OSx86 one. Went through the install just fine and told me to restart. Restarted and it tried to boot into Vista (still set to AHCI). Thought, no problem, Vista is on another HD and that HD is marked to boot from first. So changed it to boot off of the new Jas HD and I get "boot1:error". Any ideas what is wrong?
O, and shouldn't Grub recognize Jas even though its on a seperate HD?

also, were you running vista before going leo? it seems it may be a lot easier to reinstall vista to start a leo install. it should provide the correct ahci driver.
what do you think?
ciao for now,

Yeh HP... Vista preinstalled at 64bits... So, I installed Leo after
P.S. check your private mgs ;P

Ok, how long does it take to boot up? Finally got it to boot but it sat at the apple screen for about 2 mins. I figured it froze so I hard restarted. Was that normal, should I have let it wait, or did it freeze. The HD indicator light was inactive...

Finally got it to work!!! Now I need drivers.... for partically everything. The LAN doesn't work, my 8800 GTS doesn't work, had to go through 2 keyboards to find one that would, and the system hardly recognizes anything in my system.
But it works!!! lol.
Now, where do I get drivers and install them w/o internet access?

Ok, got my 8800 gts to work. That was pretty easy. Can't find a driver that works for my Realtek HD audio. Which one did you use? Also, I don't have a wireless card on my Hp. I custom built it and didn't want a wireless card. Now, I wish I had one.
My Lan is an Intel 82566DC-2 and I found the driver for the 82566MM one but I can't get it to work yet. Not sure if I followed the directions correctly or had the latest driver so will try again later tonight.
Also, it doesn't recognize my Q6600. It only lists it as a 2.4ghz cpu and I don't know if its using all 4 cores or not.
So, I am still working on it. :hack:

Hi drew630! try this, install in windows a program called everest to know what drivers you need.
for the LAN check this thread http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/show...615#post354615, maybe works...
If you used JaS it doesnt show your Machine name but it doesnt mean the cores are not working, but just to make sure, go to applications, utilities, and open activity monitor ;P
should look like this http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/q...a/Picture3.png
but i like it with chud XD http://i455.photobucket.com/albums/q...Picture1-4.png
Ok about the unknown processor try this:
Go to System/Library/CoreServices/Resorces/English.lproj
You will find a file "AppleSystemInfo.string" open it using TextMate and find "UnknownCPUKind" = "Unknown";
replace unknown with the type of your processor for example, Intel® Core™2 Quad. make sure you change only letters only not the special characters like =, " or ;. Save it, it will ask for your permission, enter your password and you are all set, no need to reboot.
Hope it helps ;P
