Default [Hardware Support] Nvidia fan speed never changes?

Is it possible to modify the fan speed on an nvidia card? By my own ears, my 7600GT runs at a constant 31.1% duty cycle continuously, even when playing 3D games. The same card on Linux using nvidia drivers spins the fan up to 66% when in "3d mode" aka "performance level 2".

Are we overheating our graphics cards with our hackintoshes?

Is there any way to do thermal/fan monitoring with IT87 monitoring sensors?

    curiously,

    Hi,

I think in OSX cannot monitoring Video tempo, but try looking for a Hardware Temperature.app - I don't know if work for this, but...

    Goodluck,
