Whilst googling for the correct server I was directed to this post..

Anyway thanks for letting me know the server name 'irc.osx86.hu'

When in mIRC simply type the command

/server irc.osx86.hu

same when you want to join a channel e.g.
/join #iphone etc

not difficult!

check out Chatzilla sometime too
