[Hackint0sh Support] Leopard on a Dell XPS 720
Hi, I have a Dell XPS 720 desktop, currently running Vista. I'd like to try to install Leopard on a seperate HD. Has anyone with the same (or similar) computer had any luck doing this? Is so, could you please provide some details on how you did it and which release (Kalyway, Leo4All, etc) you used?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Try use Leo4All v3 and searching stuff about "chain0" for dual boot.
Goodluck,

Thanks. I'm installing Leo4All v3 right now. Fingers crossed. I'll let you know how it goes.
Cheers

I just finished installing it, but when I rebooted after the installation, it went straight into Vista without letting me choose to load Leopard.
Am I missing something?

BTW, I installed Leopard on an IDE drive and Vista is installed on an SATA drive, in case that matters.

Okay, I figured out how to get it to boot the drive, but as soon as it starts to load Darwin, a few lines of text appear very quickly, then my system reboots. The lines move too fast for me to read them to say what they are.

Try boot using F8 on preboot and type -v and post back errors.

I tried that and the same thing happens. The text moves by too fast before it reboots for me to see what it says. Any suggestions?

No. Need try F8 on PC starts and type -v in Darwin prompt.

So, I went out and bought an SATA drive and was able to install Leo4All v3 without issue. But when I start up my PC, it boots directly into Vista. I don't get prompted to choose.
I set the partition to Active using the Terminal, but that didn't help either.
Here are the settings I used for the installation:
Kernel: Vanilla kernel 9.2.2
Chipset: NforceTest
Audio Driver: AzaliaAudio
Graphic Driver: NVidia 10.5.2 kexts, NVinject
Network Driver: Forcedeth-V driver
Any suggestions?
