Default Free version of Leopard for October Mac buyers?

I just bought a mac about mid-October-ish and was wondering if Leopard did in fact come out sometime this month, do you think that people who bought a mac in the month of October would be able to get a free version of leopard?

Or maybe if I returned it and bought the same mac with leopard already installed on it?

they have done that in the past. Although, it may be within the 14 day return period. I remember when Tiger came out they gave all the people who bought a machine very close to the release free copies.

Aww man, the Leopard release date is gonna be October 26

Even if it was the 14 day return policy, I'm still 2 days off...

Anyone know where I can pirate a version then?

Depending on where you purchased from, they just may upgrade for you. This has happened to with other products and I was a day or 2 shy of the return period.

    I wish u luck!

Well I ordered it online around October 5 and received it October 11

Anyways I found a version of leopard online

It's Leopard 9A559, will this allow updates for when the official leopard is released?

Looks like you can upgrade to Leopard for $10 if you ordered a Mac after Oct 1st.
