    Default EFI enabled? normal?

sorry for posting this here too, well the thing is EFI sounds really important (i really dont understand anything about it) and while exploring my hackintosh-- 915 based lappy, i found out that appleEFIruntime.kext is enabled in the extensions part of my system profiler which is not enabled on my other hackintosh lappy, umm sorry if im just making a big deal out of this but is this normal? do you guys have it enabled too on your system? does this give any speed increase? nope you can clarify things out for me..

I don't think it neither matters nor will give you any change in speed. To my knowledge that just means that you have an EFI MoBo in your Laptop, and that it even meets Apple's standards. But why don't you test yourself? That's best anyway. Run XBench 3 times with that kext in your Extensions folder, calculate the average, copy the kext out of your Ext-folder, reboot, run XBench again 3 x and calculate the average .. and post your results.

What is that Laptop of yours?

To get ANY advantage with EFI you need an active EFI at boottime.
