I don't think it neither matters nor will give you any change in speed. To my knowledge that just means that you have an EFI MoBo in your Laptop, and that it even meets Apple's standards. But why don't you test yourself? That's best anyway. Run XBench 3 times with that kext in your Extensions folder, calculate the average, copy the kext out of your Ext-folder, reboot, run XBench again 3 x and calculate the average .. and post your results.
What is that Laptop of yours?

oh tnx bugsbunny-- kk will test it out, umm its a non branded, generic laptop- asian made with insyde bios which my mom got at a low price, 1.73mhz pentium M, ddr 512 mem - i decided to trade off my desktop with her lappy coz i found it to be very compatible with osx..

To get ANY advantage with EFI you need an active EFI at boottime.
