hello i just installed uphuck 10.4.9 install dvd v1.2 on a fresh hard drive. the install went great but when i restarted the normal start up screen asking to click F2 system bios or F10 boot manager with the Gateway logo shows but it stay thier and does not go any further i restarted and try pushing F10 to select the hard drive and it makes a beep and stays on that screen.i then put my hard drive with my xp in with the mac hard drive and the same thing happend i then removed the mac hard drive and it past the logo to start xp. I then put the power plug in the mac hard drive and restarted the cpu once xp loaded i pluged the data cord in the mac hard drive normaly when i do this with some of my other hard drives they show up but it didnt show up. i put the mac cd back in unpluged the xp hard drive and started up it would not get past the logo screen and try to boot the disk i unpluged the data cable started up and it tryed to boot off the cd once it started loading i pluged in the data cable and i got an eror how do i get the hard drive to show to wipe it out or get past the start up screen?

    Default

okay i got past the first boot screen that shows gateway F2 F10 options.(i had to add a bootable hard drive and it takes about 2 min to get out of the screen instead of 2 sec) and it bypases the drives and tryies to boot off a cd. so i went in to the bios and put hard drives as the first boot option rebooted and again bypases the hard drives and goes right tho the cd. So i put the mac install cd in a booted up the cd loaded and when i whent to the disk manager it showed no hard drives present. i had two in one i installed mac on and one with vista.i turned off the computer and unpluged the mac drive and started up once in the install it showed the vista hard drive. i then thought i would try to use some of my linux live cds and when they were starting they said dvd drive loaded okay but once it whent to the hard drives thier was an eror unbootable. once they loaded they showed no hard drives present. i tried all the diffrent pin config on the hard drive to change it fron slave to master to whatever. none worked.
