Does Grub allow booting OS x86 from an external USB drive? With the chain0/darwin bootloader way that does not work ..

For me chain0 never worked. if you only have windows and don't want to install linux, you should try wingrub. it should work for your usb drive. Just give it a try and keep us posted ;-)

WinGrub ? Now that's a cool hint, didn't even know there was a separate bootloader like that - thanks for the hint ! As soon as I have my new HD set up (should be in a couple of days) I will try that!

    Greetz,
    Bugs

PS: as soon as I am sent the auto-decrypting r2d2.kext I will upload it somewhere for the public. aRt even deleted all three postings concerning it. Apart from that this torrent bulls**t is simply unnecessary ..

    Default grub + vmware

Hi - I have a triple boot laptop with grub and boots great with XP, Linux , and 10.4.3. My question is, when running VMWare from XP or linux, I have to use my install DVD to get osx going or else it just says GRUB on the screen. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Thanks

    BugsBunny,
Is it really complete? It's so small when compared to the original dmg (about 5MB). By the way, does anyone have the dmg's password?
    Thanx!

I know you are not gonna believe me again that this strange "word" is the password, but you know how it is when people take drugs (even virtual ones): iAmSofaKingWeToddEd
