Ok, i installed JaS 10.4.8 and every thing works perfect. No problems whatsoever. So then i tried installing the JaS.10.4.9.Combo.Update.Intel.SSE3.zip and the installation went good. before i restarted i went to about this mac and it said 10.4.9 , so i rebooted and could not load osx. i start up and get Darwin /x86 for about ten seconds than my monitor turns black and my comp reboots.

system specs:
osx 10.4.9
intel celron d prescott
ati graphics(random card i found in basement)
AWARDStar BIOS
IDE harddisk
ATi RAGE 128 pro grapics

Try to startup your computer in verbose mode (type: -V on the Darwin bootloader promt, after tapping a few times on F8 when your bios POST is gone.
