Default [Advice] XPS 420 and Leopard

I am on the fence with buying an XPS 420... wife wants me to get a computer with a warranty.

    Looking at:
    XPS 420
    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor E8400 (6MB L2 Cache,3.0GHz,1333FSB) ( or a 2.6ghz quad core )

    3GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz - 4 DIMMs
    320GB - 7200RPM, SATA 3.0Gb/s, 16MB Cache
    16X CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) w/double layer write capability
    Nvidia 8800GTS 320MB
    Integrated 7.1 Channel Audio

    Thoughts?

    What chipset?

In most cases, Leo4All v3 works fine.

    I has the X38 chipset.

    according to the wiki -

    XPS 420
    Install method: Kalyway_10.5.2_DVD_Intel_Amd.iso.
EFI v8 with GUID or MBR partition selected, both works
    CPU: Intel® Core™2 Quad Q6600 (2.40GHz, 8MB L2 Cache, 1066FSB)
    Board: Dell Inc. 0TP406
    RAM: 4gb
Audio: onboard does not work, installed USB Sound Card Audio Advantage Amigo: works out of box
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT 256MB(works both QE/CI using Kalyway Nvidia Driver)
LAN:On board network does NOT work, installed Realtek Gigabit 10/100/1000 Mbps PCI NIC PC/MAC
Optical Drive: LG GGC-H20L BLU-RAY+HD DVD Combo
    SATA: 2x160GB works
KVM: Iogear DVI 4 Port with 3 pc's works
    Keyboard/Mouse: Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse MX3200 works
Printer: KONICA MINOLTA magicolor 2490MF using driver Xerox_Phaser_6115_Mac_Drivers.dmg from Xerox works

Note: I have to disable IDE Controller and connect Sata 160GB Drive on first Sata Controller while LG DVD Drive on second Sata controller to get rid of "waiting for root device" issue. After successful installation, system is Very stable! Installed iwork08, ilife08 and did all Mac updates works. Love my Dell-Mac!! . . . . . .

Well I pushed the button and bought the computer.
Should be here early next week...

I really wanted to build my own (I have for built them all for the last 4 computers) but the wife wants a warranty so... I paid the extra money... (and probably will have to deal with more stuff not working well... the wiki says the 420 has sound and network issues)
    My Current System:

    Dell XPS 420

    CPU - Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q9450 (2.66GHz 1333FSB) with 12MB cache
    Memory - 3GB DDR2 (800MHz)
    Video - Nvidia 8800GTS 320MB
    Hard Drives - 320Gb VISTA, 400Gb Data, 250Gb OSX
OS - Currently Vista... but I am reading and learning before I take the plunge of OSX
