9.4 Vanilla Kernel on a Pentium D?!
Somehow someway I believe I have the Vanilla 9.4.0 kernel on Kalyway 10.5.4 but I have a Pentium D! I got that information from OSX86 tools. Is there any other way to find out my kernel version because I do not believe it myself. Also a side question is there anyway to upgrade to 10.5.5 because every time I try the update it freezes at like 39%. Will the combo update work any better if at all? And can I use the 9.4 kernel on 10.5.5 and keep the ability to plug in and recognize USB devices in real time? In other words be able to mount USB drives after boot. Thanks

Hi GLaDOS, to know whats your kernel type in terminal:
To update maybe your not following the steps, check this guide: Updating Leopard, theres a part about AMD and Pentium D
If your not using vanilla have backup your kernel and your extensions
