    Default 5.1 channel speaker trouble AC97 nforce 3 and lilbit more

    after i updated to 10.4.9 using tubgirl AMD update i cannot keep my speaker configuration correctly channalised everytime it keeps changing channels...i use K8NE deluxe motherboad and AC97 kext... i didnt change my 8.8.1 kernel either plz tell me if i need to upgrade my kernel to 8.9.1 kernel if yes plz give me the correct terminal command to do so, i have no much idea about terminal commands... and if possible a correct right kernel download link for AMD SSE2 3000+ processor... my another problem is i cant get apple grey boot screen ever please tell me a way to make my bootscreen use GUI hehehe... and audio please helpppppp...thanks in advance i will be verythankful if someone comes up with me help...

    Angry just need to load audio driver need help

    ok now i messed all audio cant get to load AC97 again i deleted the old one then i tried to put new and it wont load please help.......somebody just tell me how can i get my AC 97 working Motherboard ASUS K8NE Deluxe nforce 3 hardware id of audio is PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00EA&SUBSYS_812A1043&REV_A1 i am here for help ...and i already got grey bootscreen i edited boot file and it is workin cool.... plz help with audio someone

    5.1 in osx only works with VLC others (DVD Player, iTunes) only support 2.0 sound... so you have no use with 5.1...
    I would like to have 5.1 too but havent found a way yet...

    OS X cannot "upmix" stereo sources by default AFAIK, but with any 5.1 DVD or A/V file, VLC does the 5.1 separation well.

    If your speakers do not have the option to virtually upmix stereo sources, you'll only enjoy 5.1 with multichannel sources.

    If I only had a 7.1 setup I could try out 7.1 (and I bet it will work). I use the last stereo ouput for my headphones, so I'm still a happy camper
