Question Want an app that is not in the appstore of my country

    Hi,

because of regulations, Apple sells some apps only in some countrys. Is there any possibility to install apps of other appstores? My iPhone is jailbroken, so maybe a solution with cydia or something?

There are plenty of techniques that allow you to create a free (or gift card funded) iTunes account in another country. I recommend you do that.

Also remember that even if you managed to buy the app. Some of these region limited apps, may not work for you if you don't connect from behind a proxy or vpn that allows you to pretend you are in the right country. Most video or music streaming apps implement such a limitation.

Any other option is warez and not welcome here.

    Thanks for the fast answer.

OK, then I got an account of a different country, but how do I install apps for this on my iphone? How does backup and sync behave if I have got an app that is not connected to my account?
I don't talk about warez (it's even free), it is more about a gambling app that is not supported in my country and I don't think the provider will ip-restrict the use.

I've done it before syncing free apps legally purchased on an appstore from another country.

It worked, was a bit of a hassle from memory. I think I had to switch accounts in iTunes to get apps from both countries to initially sync. It was then fine unless there were updates to the app from a different country. I've not had to do this for a while now (I think it was in the early days of iOS 3.x or maybe even in the iOS 2.x days that I last tried this)

I don't live in the country that I was born in, so I have iTunes accounts in both my home country and adopted country (Norway) - but I don't use the one in my home country very much anymore. Most of the apps I needed were free and are now available in the Norwegian appstore.

I guess with something like a gambling app, it might not be legal to make it available in some countries - which is why it's not on the appstore.

    Thanks for your help.

It was really that easy, I don't know why I didn't just try it. You don't even need a credit card or voucher card of the country to get an account for free apps.

And the app that I wanted has no IP-Check, but checks the personal settings in my account if I'm of that country, where it is allowed.

To your other point: I believe when I'm on vacation in a country, where gambling is more legal, than in my it won't hurt me as much as in my country. It's like smoking weed in the netherlands doesn't kill you either where in other countries it does . jk
