[eWallet] Using an existing wallet
The Iliumsoft blog mentions that some people have managed to load an existing Wallet onto their iPhone.
Isn’t there ANY way to stick a wallet on the device?
We haven’t found any shortcuts. Although some folks have said that you can do it if you jailbreak your phone, we don’t reccommend or suggest this! You can certainly try but as far as I know you are voiding your warranty and could have other problems. That’s why we won’t officially publish the details on how to do this. Sorry.
Does anyone know how to do this?

Prerequisites for doing this:
- You need to have a .wlt file from eWallet 6.1 (new format, different to the older versions). If you have a file from an older version, download eWallet 6.1 desktop to convert it.
- You need to have an actived iPhone with Jailbreak.
- OpenSSH needs to be installed (you can install it with Cydia).
Steps to transfer your .wlt file:
- All AppStore applications are located in /private/var/mobile/Applications. Check with SSH which one is eWallet (it's the folder containing an "eWallet.app" folder).
- This folder also contains a folder called "Documents", in which you should find a file called "My Wallet.wlt".
- Delete this file (you might want to back it up before), copy you .wlt into the folder and rename it to "My Wallet.wlt".
- Enjoy!
