Can you check in your console /Applications/Utilities/Console.app > System.log...etc
Do you get any message related to "blued" ?
I've got it working on a Macbook Pro with a bluetooth Mighty Mouse without any problem.
You must also check in /Applications/Utilities/Activity Monitor.app
Is the blued loaded ?

BackRow is for AppleTV what FrontRow is for Mac.

backrow
Yep, indeed. back row is for ATV. as i read.
i have Macbook pro, running Leopard and playing around with Front Row i am trying to have the interface menu of Front Row appear like it is in Apple TV.
i do not have apple TV (quite frankly, for paying videos or any sorts of media, you have iTune or Front Row).
any idea on how can i change Front Row's interface to appear as the AppleTV menu does.
Thank You,
Yanni

So, not a lot of talk on this since 1.1 came out. ATV4Mac got it working for 2.0, but even that is ancient history now.
I'd really, really like the latest ATV OS running on my Mac Mini (my reasons are all sound and thoughtfully considered 10x over), and am admittedly a tiny bit frustrated at how difficult it is to find up-to-date information on the net on how to do this. Not quite as frustrated as I am at Apple's refusal to improve Front Row or include such basic features as AirTunes or iPhone Remote or iTunes Store support, but that's a different story ...
So anyway, what does it take to get the Apple TV OS 3.x running on an Intel Mac aside from what has previously been discussed? I know at the very least that the hacked Finder that has been distributed back in the 1.x days needs to be updated ...
Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated. As much as others try to make a decent media center for the Mac (and I've tried most, and appreciate Plex and Boxee for what they are), for me the killer features of AppleTV are the awesome iPhone remote and two-way AirTunes support; and buying/renting content off the iTunes store from a 10-foot interface is kind of nice as well. I have an Apple TV but the hardware just isn't there for some of the things Boxee does, and thus I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place and presume I'm not the only one

where is everything...?
I'm stuck too... all torrents have dried up, can't find the patched finder ANYWHERE!...
I have the newest firmware/OS from the apple tv, but if you try to carbon copy that to a mac, it only starts up to the apple-tv logo, but stalls and doesn't go any further.
If ANYONE knows how to either:
1. Get AppleTV to run as FrontRow on a mac (where's the patched finder?)
2. How to get the actual AppleTV-OS to boot on a Mac.
I would be soooo excited!!!!
We need to get this to happen, folks. Where are the geeks, the hackers, and the nerds? Are you all gone? We need you! : )

May I join the choir of interested Mac Mini owners who would like the Apple TV OS on my Mini!?
