I don't want a TimeCapsule and I'm happy with my FritzBox 7290 (cause 5Ghz, DECT, Modem etc.), but its a pain to tinker a TimeMachine Backup solution.
That sucks and don't work really good.

The ATV2 supports HFS and AFP. Right?
Is it possible to make a TimeMachine Backup on a
jailbroken ATV2 and a external Hard Drive?

This would be awesome!! For me :-D

I would try it, but i need one usb cable for the jailbreak and second one to connect
a usb drive. i don't want to spent money for nothing

It is such a common misconception that the ATV2 can funcion as a USB host (connect external drives for additional storage).
This isn't possible due to hardware limitations in the ATV2
