This is my first day as an apple tv 2 owner. I have jail broken using snow breeze and installed xbmc. I am trying to put a video addon. The ice info one but I have no frigging clue how to put it on. I have the file on my pc and it's been unzipped.
How the he'll do I get it onthe apple tv 2 from my pc. Is there a folder I need to put it in. Please oh please help. I own an iPad 2 and iPhone 4 also:(
1. Leave the zipped icefilms file on your desktop
2. Download Filezilla so that you can transfer the zip onto your atv2
3. In Filezilla enter your atv's ip address found on your arc under (settings) (general)(network)
4. Enter username and password into Filezilla. Default username is "Root". Default password is "Alpine". Use port 22.
5. Navigate to private/var/mobile
6. Drag icefilm zipped folder from desktop into the mobile folder
7. In xbmc under (system)(add-ons) select get from zip file. That should be it. I hope it works for you.

okay puit the info up top on filezilla and it says it cannot find it.. i put the ip address the username and password you put and no port and it cant find it i am so friggin frustrated right now. this should be simple and it isnt
where did you go.. i have been waiting to try and figure out what the hell i have to do in filezilla.. the instructions you agve although very helpful assume i know how to use filezilla and apparently i am an idiot because i dont remember how i used it it has been so long..please for the love of od help me.

Ok Filezilla will only be able to connect to your atv if both your computer and atv are connected to the same wifi network. Also the zip file you are copying over to the atv should be the anarchintosh repository. You can find it by google searching (unofficial repositories xbmc). Don't bother un-zipping it, just leave it on your desktop. Assuming Filezilla connects to your atv, you will see (atv's) file directory within Filezilla on the right hand side of the screen. Drag the zip file from your desktop onto the folder private/var/mobile. Open xbmc go to system/add-ons/download from zip.
