appletv and mail

I'me looking for a vod box and the apple TV seems great. But is it possible to download a app to read mail from this box ?
Is there other VOB box with this function ?

XBMC includes a "gmail checker" addon.

There are not many GUI apps for ATV2 yet. I don't know of any other apps that can check email.

Does gmail app works with other mailbox (not finishing by@gmail.com)
