i am streaming an avi (xvid) wirelessly and every 3-4 minutes the movie ends abruptly and takes me back to the aptv home screen. anyone else having this issue?

If you're in Windows, I've found that UPnP works better than a standard SMB share. I just added my media content to Windows Media Player and turned on streaming from the menus. Then, I browsed for the UPnP share in XBMC and it popped right up. It's less choppy; I was getting stuttering with a standard SMB share.

If you haven't done this before, it's not very hard. Just google around for Windows Media Player UPnP. I figured it out in about a half hour. The only bad news is you have to start the player to get the sharing going. There may be a workaround but I haven't found it yet. Perhaps a dedicated UPnP media server application would work smoother.
