So I just got my atv2g and well it won't connect to my network which is pretty much an iPad 3G using mywi to make it a USB modem but the tv won't see that or my iMac when I create a network.... Any settings I can tweak?

Per my experience having run Ubuntu on the Apple TV, I don't believe the card is capable of supporting an Ad-Hoc network. It can create them, but the thing for some reason doesn't have the support in the firmware.

Doesn't make any sense to me, and it could have been an Ubuntu issue, but that's my experience, FWIW.

the wifi card is the exact same card as in the ipad and the ipad WILL connect to adhoc networks. (mywi on iphone gives internet connection to ipad) so.....what's missing to allow the new atv2g to do the same?
